Victoria Park/Belmont Can't Hold Up Against Swan Districts
Victoria Park/Belmont struggled to get their offense going on Thursday, getting easily dispatched by Swan Districts, 10-3.
Victoria Park/Belmont got on the board in the first inning. Jared Hutchins drove in one when he doubled.
In the top of the second inning, Swan Districts tied things up at one. Dan Carter singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Swan Districts -pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Bjay Cooke singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Dusty Brown singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and Jordan Brokas's wild pitch allowed one run to score for Swan Districts
Swan Districts scored five runs in the sixth inning. Swan District's big inning was driven by a triple by Jordan Norvall, a single by Maddux Stivey, and an error on a ball put in play by Cooke.
Stivey toed the rubber for Swan Districts .They surrendered three runs on three hits over four innings, striking out five.
Brokas started the game for Victoria Park/Belmont. They lasted three innings, allowing six hits and five runs. Michael West and Andrew Hurrelbrink entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.
Mitchell Peak, Hurrelbrink, Hutchins, and Taiyo Kurosawa each collected one hit to lead Victoria Park/Belmont.
