Dear Diamond Athlete,

Our BCA sport program has been up in running as part of the BWA Athlete Development offerings since August 2016.

The program is headed by Rich Daly and Dean White and will include Andy Kyle for this year’s new cohort. We have grown successfully of the year and worked hard to deliver next level results to all of our athletes. The combined success of the program with BWA programs has seen our first cohort achieve the following:

Selection in State Team programs
Selection in PHPI 2017 intake
College Scouting from Jr. College to Division 1
Professional Scouting opportunities
US College preparations
National MLB Showcase representation

The summer contact we enjoy with the Perth Heat Franchise has enabled our cohort to access the ABL like only a true Heater can. Our team has participated in on-field game day warm ups, In-game Dug out learning, charting and statistic capturing as well as the behind the scenes work in the front office, ticketing and ushering duties.

Our first graduating cohort have learned all elements of baseball from developing their skills in an individualised program, developing their athletic prowess through personalised S&C programming and the mental skills required to pull it all together and perform on the diamond.

Our students are either attending high school with general and ATAR pathways, Uni in Australia and College in the US, play for the Perth Heat or are working full-time. Our unique delivery model enables us to balance the needs of our athletes with State team trials, preparations and club ball whilst maintaining their academic and schooling commitments.

We are getting ready for the 2017/18 cohorts now. We will be holding an information evening at the training HQ of the Perth Heat, the purpose-built Diamond Performance Centre. Our session will begin with an overlap of the Perth Heat Initial Pre-Season workout to showcase what our athletes can expect from the program.
