Baseball Australia Bat Regulations UPDATED 31 MAY 2017

All Little League Regular Season and Tournament Play

Refer to Green Book rule 1.10 for full bat regulation wording

 

Existing Rule applies to 2017/18 & 2018/19

New rule bats may be used when available - mandatory from 2019/20

Little League & Below


 

Bats shall be marked with a stamp denoting a BPF of 1.15 and have a maximum barrel of 2 ¼ “.

EXCEPTION: Little League (Majors) and below, for regular season play and Tournament, composite barrel bats are prohibited unless approved by Little League International. A list of approved and licensed composite barrel bats can be found on the Little League website at www.LittleLeague.org.

Intermediate/

Junior League


 
  1. 2 ¼" alloy/metal barrel with BPF stamp of 1.15

  2. 2 5/8" alloy/metal barrel (no marking required)

  3. 2 5/8“ composite barrel with BBCOR stamp

USA Baseball marking

2 5/8” barrel maximum

NO BBCOR ALLOWED

Senior League/ Big League


 

All non-wood bats must be BBCOR

 

Local exception (club-ball only) - any player not selected in a charter or state team in the current or previous season and/or having not played Big League and/or any senior grade in the current season may use a Junior League eligible bat in Senior League club matches.
